As the President and Founder of Honeyman & Associates, Toye Honeyman is a management consultant and trusted advisor to a roster of talented executives in world leading organizations. A seasoned change agent, Toye and the Honeyman & Associates team design and architect leadership development experiences that help senior executives to successfully build their teams and achieve strategic business objectives. She brings expertise, passion and humor to her work, along with a deep commitment to elevating her clients, their capabilities and their successes.
Honeyman & Associates is a boutique firm built to accommodate the growing and changing needs of business leaders as they evolve in their current positions and transition to new roles.
We’re passionate about identifying the most critical barriers and enablers, and unlocking the potential that will drive the right strategic actions for successful leadership. We know that context is critical. We understand that blending role imperatives and a leader’s deeper purpose and motivation are key to designing powerful leadership and team development experiences that drive real change.
Our integrative approach to assessment and development relies on research and innovative ideas from various disciplines, enabling us to design customizable executive assessments and development road maps that flexibly align with the unique needs of each individual, team and organization.
Bringing over two decades of experience to her work, Toye has an innate ability to quickly assess the underlying leadership issues in business challenges. She believes organization transformation occurs when business leaders change the way they think and act. Her approach — flexible and integrative, rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model — draws on current research and innovative ideas from neuroscience, systems theory, authentic leadership practice, change management, group dynamics and business models. Using this customizable model, she’s helped talented and notable leaders from some of the world’s leading organizations — many of whom are repeat clients — to lead with greater impact.
Toye combines insight into people, systems and group dynamics, linking leadership behavior to action plans that enable the achievement of strategic business objectives. Working across a wide range of companies in the entertainment, media, biotech, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, financial services, consumer goods, construction, service and manufacturing industries, Toye has played an integral role in designing and implementing large scale change initiatives and helping individuals, teams and organizations successfully manage restructuring and transitions. She’s been instrumental in guiding start-ups as they manage rapid growth, and has extensive experience preparing C-level executives to take on more complex leadership roles and develop more effective and high performing teams.
Prior to founding Honeyman & Associates in 2012, Toye served as a management psychologist and consultant in the New York and Los Angeles offices of RHR International, a global firm of management consultants focused on top-of-the-house leadership, assessment and development. Before embarking on her management consulting career, Toye was a consulting and clinical psychologist in New York City where she taught, practiced and consulted with physicians in a large teaching hospital and medical center and maintained a private clinical practice. She has extensive training in group dynamics, character development and family systems, and has also held several academic appointments, including positions at Hunter College (CUNY), New School for Social Research and the University of Oregon.
Toye earned a BS, cum laude, from Willamette University, an MS in Counseling Psychology from University of Oregon, and a MA, Ph.D., Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University. She is a licensed psychologist in California and New York.
Victoria believes that every one of us is driven by a specific set of behavioral patterns that both facilitate and impede organizational success. Extensive training as a Clinical Psychologist and Research Specialist — and a deep understanding of what motivates and holds people back — enable Victoria to identify and analyze patterns of dysfunction to implement programs of change. Applying meditative techniques to day-to-day work functions, she helps leaders to focus on the big picture, resulting in increased productivity and better decision making. Using this approach, she’s helped numerous clients to identify, develop and retain their most talented team members to achieve their organizational goals.
Throughout her career, clients including Exelon, IBC, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co. and more have relied on Victoria to help them identify and assess talent, develop company leaders, facilitate high-performance teams, enhance leadership aptitude, resolve conflict, and improve individual and organizational communications.
